Take Control is a space shooter game. The player controls a ship with 4 kinds of weapons and a rechargeable shield.
I handled the lead design and programmed the controls of the main spaceship.
My main pitch for this game was to keep the complexity of space games but make their control scheme more intuitive by matching the controls to the ships various parts. This did not pan out since we did not take enough time to design obvious gun designs for the weapons.
One of the more enjoyable experiences was designing the shields, since I wanted a satisfying feeling when using them and a slight moment of weakness when recharging them.
